We celebrate Holy Communion at each service.

Our Holy Communion practice is called "close communion" meaning that we who commune together believe the same thing regarding this Holy Meal. We believe that in Holy Communion we receive the Lord's Body and Blood in, with, and under bread and wine for the personal assurance of God's love and forgiveness to us. All the members of St. Matthew are encouraged to partake of the Lord's Supper each time it is offered. Other Lutherans in good standing with their home congregation are also invited to join us. If you are not a member of a Lutheran congregation, please consult with pastor prior to communing with us. We use both common and individual cups to distribute the consecrated wine. In each pew there are green fellowship booklets. Please fill out the page and indicate any special concerns or requests you may have, then pass the booklet along to your neighbor in your pew.
